Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering

Program Details

The online Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering produces oil industry engineers. Students conduct research in geomechanics, re-fracturing for production optimization, seismic analysis of unconventional reservoirs, petrophysical analysis of shale oil, and many other petroleum research topics. Students submit a faculty-approved design project as well as a peer-reviewed manuscript on which the student is the first author. 

Courses include, but are not limited to: 

  • Natural Gas Engineering
  • Reservoir Geophysics
  • Advanced Production Engineering

In addition, students become immersed in petrochemical production, transportation logistics, environmental efforts, international commerce, and refining. Graduates can pursue careers in computer simulation, drilling, fracturing, equipment design, petroleum exploration, and more. Graduates will have a competitive advantage in the job market by obtaining the online Master of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering.
