Master of Arts in Science Education (Non-Licensure)
University of North Carolina at Pembroke

Program Details

This is a non-licensure online STEM teaching degree that is designed for teachers who wish to move beyond the classroom. It does lead to an M teaching license.

Unlike the MAT which is more focused on practical skills and preparing for the classroom, this STEM teaching degree is broader, examining your role in the education system. More theoretical in nature, the curriculum emphasizes the critical evaluation of educational practices and research.

Graduates are ready to take on roles in leadership, curriculum design, community or college teaching, and more. If you decide to further your education, this is an excellent stepping stone toward a doctoral degree.
