Program Details

The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology is an online sociology degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.  This program is designed for those interested in studying the social world and why humans think and act the way they do.  The curriculum is based on a liberal arts foundation with great flexibility, allowing students to choose from a variety of options that meet their personal or career interests.  All students will study of society developed out of human social organization while learning to create and use scientific tools of analysis.  You will have the opportunity to apply scientific knowledge to the analysis of social problems and the transformation of society through classroom-based activities and community-based experiential learning.  Students also learn about the theories and research methods involved in sociology and have the opportunity to apply these as well.
