Program Details

The online communication degree teaches analytical thinking skills that help you craft and deliver effective messages through written, spoken, and digital channels as you learn to use communications best practices to help organizations respond to opportunities and threats. Students will be able to create and deploy distinct messages suited to various audiences, situations, and settings; identify an organization’s communication strengths and weaknesses and improve upon them; analyze and critique communication methods specific to cultural, media, and industry norms; and integrate individual reflection on questions of ethics, conflict, and citizenship as these shape communications. Careers can be found in many niche areas, including public relations, nonprofit advocacy, corporate communications, and public service.
