University of Minnesota-Twin Cities

Program Details

Explore cross-national tax law and practices to prepare for a career working and leading in global business contexts with the online Certificate in International Taxation program from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. The 12-credit, AACSB-accredited graduate certificate can be completed in as few as nine months.

Throughout the program, you’ll learn transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, international tax planning, and more from expert faculty. Our instructors have decades of teaching experience, as well as a deep professional understanding of the tax industry.

There are a number of ways you can apply the skills you learn in the Certificate in International Taxation program. All courses in the certificate count toward accounting hours required to sit for the CPA exam, if that’s a goal you have. If you’re already a CPA, you can qualify for CPE credit. Upon completion, you’ll be able to apply your skills immediately to your current role, and if you choose to continue your education, you can transfer all of your certificate credits into our Master of Business Taxation program. The Carlson School of Management has a prestigious career center that offers an array of services to prepare students to enter and navigate the job market.

Employees from our corporate partner organizations are automatically eligible for a 15% tuition discount.
