Program Details
The University of Indianapolis offers an online Executive-focused Doctor of Nursing Practice program. Students will complete practicum hours focused on leadership activities, participating in committees, and implementing an evidence-based practice project.
This online nursing administration degree prepares students to integrate nursing science and clinical reasoning with knowledge from other scientific disciplines to design and evaluate care for high quality nursing practice. Students learn how to evaluate existing research and evidence to develop nursing guidelines and improve patient and population health outcomes. Graduates will be prepared to influence healthcare policy at all levels of government and within their own organization.

- Requires attendance at an on-campus orientation/intensive each August
- Must have a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution, including completion of a graduate-level statistics course with grade B or better within five years
- Must have an active, unencumbered RN license
- APRNs must have successfully completed graduate courses in advanced pharmacotherapeutics, pathophysiology, and health assessment
