Program Details

The University of Florida’s Master of Science in Education is made possible by the university’s College of Education, and was designed with working educators in mind who wouldn’t normally have the freedom to pursue a traditional master’s certificate on-campus due to family, location, or work commitments. This program helps prepare candidates for the Florida Educational Leadership Exam, which leads to Florida Certification.


  • Bachelors or equivalent degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Updated resume
  • A written Statement of Purpose
  • An academic or scholarly paper of at least 3-5 pages
  • Transcripts
  • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
  • GRE Scores
  • Two most recent annual teacher evaluations (recommended, not required)
