Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Agriculture & Life Sciences program is designed to assist those in agriculture and natural resources improve teaching skills in formal, nonformal, and informal settings.  The curriculum covers topics including theories, principles, and practices associated with effective instruction in a variety of educational programming settings.  Required courses are:

  • Teaching and Learning Theory: Applications in Agricultural Education and Communication
  • Designing Educational Programs in Agricultural Settings
  • Delivering Educational Programs in Agricultural Settings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
  • Official transcripts from all colleges previously attended
  • 3.0 GPA in undergraduate course work completed after 60 hours
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Statement of purpose
  • Resume or CV
  • Employment in area of specialization may be required
