The online Graduate Certificate in Embedded Systems Engineering program explores combinations of hardware and software that are designed for a particular function within aerospace and defense, energy, industrial automation, medical, networking and communication, security, transportation, and more. Students emerge equipped with the hardware and software knowledge and skills needed to design and implement these systems. 

Requirements

  • BS in electrical engineering or electrical & computer engineering OR significant background/experience in these fields
  • Students should have foundational knowledge and experience in embedded systems architecture, components, circuits, C programming and some assembly language, some operating system coursework, use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, digital logic analyzers and protocol analyzers, etc.
  • Preferred minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA
