Program Details

The online Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at the University of Central Florida emphasizes thoughtful examination of social issues. The purpose of exploring society through a variety of classes is to increase students’ social awareness and the ability to employ a sociological perspective to interpret social behavior. Graduates are equipped with a set of core courses in theory, methods, statistics, and data analysis that give them the opportunity to explore a research question from the beginning conceptualization to the presentation of findings about their project. 

Graduates are also well-prepared for careers in positions or fields such as:

Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions. Minimum 2.0 GPA. Demonstrated competency of foreign language or American Sign Language. High school transcript. SAT/ACT score (including writing scores). Two English composition courses and two math courses with Grade C or better.
