The online Master of Science in Optical Sciences program prepares students to enter exciting and challenging careers as engineers, designers, or technical managers. There is no core curriculum, allowing students considerable freedom in planning their study programs, and they can choose between a thesis option and a non-thesis option. Graduates are prepared to work in hardware design, medical and biomedical technology, lasers and electro-optical systems, fiber optics and communications, measurements, manufacturing and consumer technology. Students also have the foundation needed to continue their educations in the doctoral program.
