Program Details

The online Master of Security & Disaster Management program is designed for homeland security and emergency management professionals and those who hope to begin careers in these fields, providing the knowledge and skills needed to lead and manage at the operational to strategic levels.  The curriculum uses current, real-world situations to prepare students and also covers topics including the legal aspects of these fields, disaster management policy, and community planning in emergency management.  You will learn about vulnerability and protection, human security, project management, and strategic collaboration.

Requirements

  • Official transcripts of all college-level course work
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Statement of academic goals
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Students with a GPA above 2.75 must submit results of the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Test
  • Any student with a GPA lower than 2.75 will be required to submit results of the GRE or GMAT
