Program Details

The Associate of Arts in Psychology from Truckee Meadows Community College is an online psychology degree for students interested in transferring to a Bachelor of Arts in psychology program.  This program allows students to complete the first two years of courses for a psychology degree, saving time and money when they transfer to a four-year institution.  Of course, this online psychology degree can also lead directly to careers in psychology or related fields.    

The curriculum includes a balanced general education program along with the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings in psychology.  Students also gain an understanding of the basic academic research methods in psychology, including research design, data analysis, and interpretation.  Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to apply psychological principles in order to understand human behavior.
