Program Details

The online Master of Education in Reading program prepares educators to become reading professionals, ready to serve schools and communities in three roles: Reading Teachers, Reading Specialists, and Master Reading Teachers. The curriculum teaches educators how to take on and solve important literacy challenges in their schools and communities and to put their knowledge into action when they are teaching or helping others develop reading curriculums.

  • Language, Literacy, and Culture
  • Issues in Teaching of Literacy Using Children’s and Adolescent Literature
  • New & Emerging Media Literacies
  • Research Methods for the Behavioral Sciences
  • Teaching Disciplinary Literacy to Adolescents
