Program Details

The University of Texas at Tyler offers an MBA with a concentration in Cyber Security that is increasingly beneficial with the amount of data created and stored by corporations and the rise of data theft that raises the need for managers capable of evaluating security solutions.  Students will learn to bridge the space between executives and technologists in a program that is geared toward professionals who want to serve as facilitators between management and the IT/cyber security team.  The curriculum offers foundational business knowledge found in a traditional MBA along with a thorough understanding of the concepts and strategies needed to translate complex technical language, evaluate strategic approaches, and set policies to ensure companies are protected.  You will gain a strong managerial foundation that incorporates cyber security concepts and will learn to evaluate security vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.  Students will study techniques used to secure and manage computers, computer networks, and enterprise computer systems, including security policies and disaster recovery.  In addition, you will study cryptography and network protocols and enhance your managerial skills to lead effectively in a global society.
