Program Details

Earn a Master of Social Work degree online with The University of Alabama.  This program is flexible and accessible, designed to work for the working adult student pursuing advancement in their career.  Studies may include but are not limited to:

  • Social Welfare Policy
  • Human Behavior
  • Research Informed Practice

While this is a primarily online program, some courses require face-to-face skills laboratory sessions.  Students will take on a field internship, preparing them for real-world scenarios and successful employment.  Two concentrations are available within the curriculum, including Children, Adolescents and their Families, and Adults and their Families.  Enter a fast-paced field of work with the skills and knowledge to succeed as a professional through The University of Alabama online.

Attendance at the on campus orientation session is mandatory. Program is primarily online with face-to-face skills labs held at regional locations on selected Saturdays across the state of Alabama.
