In 1927, the Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary opened with 24 students. Bachelor’s degree programs were added in 1946, and the name changed to the Master’s College in 1985. After adding master’s degrees and online programming, the institution gained university status. The mission of The Master's University is “to empower students for a life of enduring commitment to Christ, biblical fidelity, moral integrity, intellectual growth and lasting contribution to the Kingdom of God worldwide.”
Master’s U offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in diverse areas of study, including biblical studies. Several bachelor’s and master’s degrees are offered in fully online formats.
