Program Details

Make a difference in the lives of others through the use of physical activity and education with this kinesiology online degree.  Choose one of these areas of concentration:

  • Sport Coaching
  • Adapted Physical Education (APE)
  • Adapted Sport and Fitness

With this online physical education degree students prepare for careers as coaches, trainers, professional instructors, athletic directors, and other similar careers.  This Sport Coaching concentration focuses on the role graduates will play among women and on how graduates will be able to work with women in a productive and professional manner.  

The APE concentration is designed for those with an undergraduate degree in kinesiology or a related field and with teaching certificates in physical education, special education, or a related field.  The Adapted Sport and Fitness concentration is designed for those not seeking teacher certification but who have an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or a related field, or who have an adapted sports certification.  With both of these concentrations, the focus is on providing the knowledge and skill needed to help those with disabilities through physical activity and physical education.
