Program Details

Texas State University offers the Master of Social Work, a program based upon improving society. Built upon a liberal arts perspective, students can expect to take courses such as Social Work Intervention in Child Abuse & Neglect, Social Welfare Policy and Services, Social Work Research, Helping Troops Transition Back to their Families and Communities, and more. Social work is an exciting opportunity for graduates finding employment across a wide variety of service delivery fields.

Requirements

Must hold a bachelors degree. 3.0 GPA. Transcripts. Resume. Statement of purpose.

Also available is an Advanced Standing track for graduates of a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited BSW program with a BSW obtained within the last 5 years or, if more than 5 years ago, who hold a license in good standing and have current work experience in the field of social work.
