    Requirements

    Must hold a bachelors degree. 3.0 GPA. Transcripts. Resume. Statement of purpose.

    Also available is an Advanced Standing track for graduates of a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)-accredited BSW program with a BSW obtained within the last 5 years or, if more than 5 years ago, who hold a license in good standing and have current work experience in the field of social work.

    School Overview

    Authorized by the Texas legislature in 1899, Southwest Texas State Normal School opened its doors in 1903. Over the years, they broadened the scope of the institution and changed the name a few times, finally landing on Texas State University in 2013.
