Program Details

Online students are able to earn a Master of Social Work degree through Texas State University distance learning.  This program is for students who do not hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree.  Students are prepared to take state licensing exams through core studies and electives specific to healthcare, gerontology, spirituality, and more.  Studies will cover advanced topics such as:

  • Individual and family social environments
  • Global social environments
  • Social welfare policy

Students are met with a liberal arts perspective in leadership, research, communication, critical thinking, and other essential skills.  Students will become well versed in social work research as well as social justice and advocacy.  Discover methods of multicultural and international social work, ethics, community engagement, and other interaction and intervention techniques through Texas State online.
