Program Details

The Education Specialist in Instructional Leadership from TSU offers both a licensure concentration and one without licensure. Through the online teacher leadership program, students learn the following:

  • Use of educator evaluation data to assess, adjust, and inform professional learning plans and goals
  • Application of instructional leadership concepts in K-12 settings
  • Analysis of multiple forms of data to select the best strategies and goals for student achievement and growth

Besides rigorous coursework, all students must pass the educational administration / leadership and general education comprehensive exams. Furthermore, a passing grade on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment is needed for licensure. Those students in the non-licensure track must complete a culminating project.
