Program Details

Combine your interests in healthcare and data with this online masters in health informatics.  You will learn to create data systems and processes in immersive courses that teach students the application of information technology to healthcare.  Courses cover such topics as:

  • Health data standards
  • Health data analysis
  • Computer programming
  • Machine learning/artificial intelligence in healthcare data
  • Health IT strategy and management

Students learn to design, develop, and implement health information technology in various healthcare settings with courses that examine the foundations of healthcare delivery, information science, and computer science.  In addition to preparing to use data to promote the best possible patient care while also maintaining healthcare organizations’ efficiency, the curriculum also addresses current issues in healthcare.  Choose between a thesis or project track.

Students are eligible to become members of the free Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
