Program Details

With this online early childhood education degree, you will prepare to make a difference in the lives of young learners, providing them with lifelong learning skills before they even enter Kindergarten. You will be working with children from infancy through age 4 in diverse learning environments.

This program is designed for those who have earned an Associate in Science or an Associate in Arts degree. It does not lead to teacher certification but does meet the requirements to become either a Head Start or Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) lead teacher.  

Courses cover such topics as:

  • Child development and learning
  • Creating family-teacher partnerships
  • Understanding developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate teaching practices
  • Early childhood curriculum
