Guided by national coaching standards, Southwest Minnesota State University offers an MS in Physical Education / Coaching of Sport. This fully online physical education and coaching program advances the skills, philosophies, and knowledge of coaching.
Infused with project-based learning, all courses and practicums build on each other. Topics of study within this physical education and coaching program include:
- Legal aspects in recreation and sport
- Philosophy and ethics in coaching
- Sports skills, tactics, and evaluation in coaching
- Psychology of athletic performance
