Program Details

The Doctor of Education in Nursing Education is an online nurse educator program from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) for current RNs or APRNs.  The goal of this program, which was developed collaboratively by SCSU and Western Connecticut State University, is to prepare nurses for academic faculty roles.  The curriculum features an innovative doctoral program that strives to provide a diverse, caring, and scholarly learning community dedicated to excellence, just as would be found on campus.  Courses focus on the knowledge and skills needed to be effective faculty members, advance the science of nursing education, and transform the education of future nurses.

  • Leadership in Nursing Education
  • Science of Nursing Education Research
  • Dissertation Phase
