Program Details

The High School Diploma and Certificate in Certified Protection Officer program offered by Smart Horizons Career Online High School provides students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma. The 18 credit hour program offers students career-based high school diplomas, preparing them for professional employment. The flexible schedule allows working individuals to learn at their own pace. Courses are taught by a team of certified teachers, students are immersed in a positive learning atmosphere promoting academic growth.

Completing the High School Diploma and Certificate in Certified Protection Officer prepares students for employment performing security work or protection officer. Students will complete courses covering workplace violence, fire prevention, physical security, traffic control, and operational risk management.

Although Smart Horizon’s programs are taken independently online, students are not alone. Assistance and support is always available and encouraged for students who need it.

Earning a high school diploma through Smart Horizons, students receive an education from an accredited school as well as a career certificate. To earn a High School Diploma, the students must complete all required coursework, and prepare a Career Portfolio. Help may be accessed through Career Development Support Services.
