Program Details

The online Communication Studies AA degree program from Sinclair Community College is designed for students aiming to transfer to a four-year institution in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in communication-related fields such as journalism, speech education, business, industry, government, broadcast media, public relations, and law. Graduates are prepared to:

  • Analyze technologically mediated messages and their effects on individuals and society as part of the communication process
  • Demonstrate the ability to comprehend, evaluate, and apply basic communication theories
  • Analyze communication interactions that take place in our society
  • Communicate effectively with others in interpersonal, small group, and public speaking situations

Requirements

  • Sinclair placement test (college-level ACCUPLACER, ACT, SAT, ALEKS, or Compass (math) score within the last two years may be used for placement)
