The Bachelor of Science in Nursing online RN to BSN degree program from Shawnee State University is designed for Registered Nurses (RNs) who want to advance their knowledge to provide better patient outcomes and increase their salaries or for those RNs who have credits from an associate’s degree in nursing or a diploma program that they can transfer.  Students can transfer up to 35 credit hours of lower division courses from an associate degree or diploma program.  This program provides a quality education that features small classes, personalized attention, and dedication to your future success.  As you complete this flexible yet accelerated curriculum on your own schedule and at your own pace, you will learn how to assume a variety of leadership roles in nursing.

This online RN to BSN program teaches you to assess the physical, mental, functional, and basic psychosocial skills of patients of all ages.  Courses cover everything from the history of various nursing theories to legal and ethical issues in the field.  You will learn about cultural influences that affect health and health-seeking behavior, healthcare policy and planning at different levels, ways to promote the quality of life for the elderly, and promoting health for communities.
