Music sets the mood, it can also change peoples’ moods and behavior. SMWC offers an online MA in Music Therapy, designed for board-certified therapists to enhance their counseling skills and knowledge through music. Students will learn the therapeutic uses of music to help others heal. This program has been approved the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and incorporates these subjects:
- Professional ethics
- Imagery and music
- Psychopathology
- Improvisation
