Saint Cloud University offers a Graduate Certificate in Library Media Specialist. The program is offered for those who want more academic knowledge on library sciences and integrating technology into the field. The coursework is offered synchronously so students can participate with their classmates.

- Possess at least an overall 2.75 GPA in previous undergraduate work or in the last half of undergraduate work
*Candidates who do not already hold a teaching license in Minnesota will need to complete an additional set of courses to satisfy the Standards of Effective Practice (SEP) competencies. These are the Minnesota Board of Teaching competencies required of all teacher education candidates regardless of content area. Through an arrangement with Bemidji State University's FasTrack program, students seeking their initial teaching license who are enrolled in the St. Cloud State Information Media Library Media Specialist program can complete the SEP courses online.
