Program Details

Rowan University offers an online Graduate Certificate in English as a Second Language. The program is for those who want to teach English to K-12 students with a variety of cultural backgrounds. ESL leaders help students speak, listen, read, and write in English.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
  • Current professional resume
  • Typewritten statement of professional objectives
  • Recommendation Form (two letters or recommendation may be submitted)
  • Copy of NJ teaching certificate or official scores from the Praxis® Core Academic Skills for Educators Tests
  • Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
