Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is a public, two-year institution located in Salisbury, North Carolina. The school was founded in 1963 when Salisbury-Rowan community leaders conducted a survey of manpower requirements in the area. They discovered a need for a technical education center. In 1988, the college’s trustees changed the name to its present day title to more accurately reflect the comprehensive programs and the service areas offered.
The school offers associate's degrees, diplomas and certification programs. In addition, the school offers several fully online degree programs.
