At Rasmussen College, the Early Childhood Education Certificate prepares you with the essential skills and educational strategies to help make a positive impact in the lives of young children. The career-focused curriculum is aligned to national standards and prepares you to apply for your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. As a student, you will take courses from experienced faculty and if you already have a current CDA credential, you can waive up to 12 credits. Along the way, you’ll gain relevant skills employers value, including an understanding of child development and a variety of techniques for fostering a positive learning environment. You can earn your Certificate in as few as 9-12 months with courses offered online or on campus. You can also choose to take advantage of our favorable block transfer policy to apply your credits toward an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
Completion time is dependent on transfer credits accepted and courses completed each term.
