Program Details

Purdue University Global’s Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science is recognized by the U.S. Fire Administration as an official Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) institution. The fire science degree program is designed to provide students with foundational skills in firefighter safety, building codes, fire prevention, code inspection, and firefighting strategy and tactics.

Students will have the opportunity to learn:

  • Analytical approaches to fire protection and investigation
  • Fire defense and disaster planning
  • The role of fire service within the community

Requirements

  • Evidence of high school graduation or equivalent
  • Students enrolled in a criminal justice or fire science program are required to submit a criminal background check to the Purdue Global approved vendor
