Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Fisheries Management program will help students keep up with the increasingly complex field by learning about biology, assessment science, and the demands of sustainability.  The curriculum uses a multidisciplinary approach to tackling multifaceted issues as students are prepared to act as the link between scientists, decision-makers, and stakeholders when handling the many issues that come with managing recreational and commercial fisheries and fish habitats.  Graduates will have and practice skills in biology, economy, law, and social science while dealing with issues across a wide range of perspectives and disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA for undergraduate work
  • At least two years of experience working in a field or organization related to fisheries management preferred
