Prepare for a leadership role in your educational community and to impact the mathematics achievement and success of PreK-8 students. Learn to support learners through culturally responsive pedagogy and reform-oriented instruction. In addition to practicing and crafting their leadership skills, students in this program also gain a deeper understanding of student’s mathematical thinking and cognitive development.  

One of the most important parts of this curriculum is a math specialist internship at your local school division.   

This program is designed to prepare Virginia-licensed teachers for endorsement as math specialist in grades PreK-8.
