Program Details

This master’s in Special Education online program offers four concentrations in the field of Intervention Specialist. All specializations promote equitable learning for all students and the delivery of a quality educational experience. Teachers can choose to focus their education on one of the following areas:

  • Mild to Moderate Educational Needs – This track can lead to licensure for teachers working with children with mild cognitive impairment, specific learning disabilities, and/or emotional disturbance.
  • Moderate to Intensive Educational Needs – Teachers in this track will be prepared to work with students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities and/or multiple handicaps.
  • Early Childhood Intervention Specialist – This program prepares students to work with special needs children ages 3 to 10.
  • STEM+ for ALL Fellowship – Teachers with a background in STEM can pursue this fellowship, which offers a stipend that goes towards living expenses while you are enrolled.
