Ohio University’s Engineering Leadership Certificate will prepare you to transition from technical work to positions where earning the trust of superiors, peers and subordinates is vital. This nine-credit-hour, online program explores the art of informal leadership for engineering and technical occupations.

You will learn the fundamentals of leadership (including characteristics, roles and skills of successful leaders), examine these fundamentals using self-reflection and apply them to case studies and real-world situations. The curriculum also covers principles of business communication, accounting, performance measures and decision-making that can be applied to engineering leadership roles.
