The online Associate in Arts degree program from Northwest-Shoals Community College is designed to prepare students for transfer to another institution to pursue a four-year degree in areas such as art, general liberal arts, music, pre-law, or teacher education. Although the curriculum is based on a general foundation of courses typical for the first two years of a baccalaureate degree program, students are assigned to an advisor on the basis of an intended major or field of interest indicated by the individual student.
For identity vertification, distance education students are required to take at least one proctored exam on campus.
