Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Education in Teacher As Leader program offers instruction fundamentals based on continued research to prepare professionals for the classroom. Topics of diversity, technology, and civic engagement are also integrated into curriculum.  

This program is specifically designed for students desiring to earn teacher certification, and meets Rank 2 licensure requirements in the state of Kentucky. Students can choose from the following endorsements:

  • P-12 Reading
  • Environmental Education
  • Instructional Computer Technology
  • Special Education: Learning and Behavior Disorders, Moderate and Severe Disabilities, or non certification
  • Autism & Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Integrated Early Childhoood Education
  • English as a Second Language
  • Gifted Education

Requirements

  • Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate coursework
  • GRE test scores
  • Statement of professional goals
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Copy of current teaching certificate or out-of-state equivalent
  • Teacher as Leader Admission Agreement form
