Program Details

This certificate in Disability Studies from NCCC prepares students for entry-level positions serving those with developmental, psychological, and physical disabilities. Students will learn the personal and interpersonal skills necessary to provide care to those they are serving. Skills will be practiced in an internship experience as part of the curriculum. Graduates will be well suited for positions in human services settings including nursing homes, developmental centers, group homes for the mentally challenged, outpatient clinics, and more.
