Program Details

The online master’s in Counseling with a concentration in Mental Health and Wellness from NYU prepares students to pursue licensure and employment as a mental health counselor. Licensed counselors can help people of all ages and backgrounds learn to improve their health and wellness. 

The curriculum includes graduate-level classes, a counseling lab, practicum, and internship experience. Students will be able to practice skills from class by acting out client-therapist scenarios with a partner, and then completing practicum and internship requirements in their local community. Graduates can work in settings such as addiction treatment centers, community agencies, and private practice.
