Program Details

With this online special education degree, you will prepare for a career working with a growing part of the student population, those with special learning needs.  Students can customize their curriculum by choosing from various exceptionalities, or they can choose to specialize in autism spectrum disorder. All students study such topics as:

• Universal design for learning
• Assistive technology
• Critical thinking skills
• Modifying the classroom to accommodate special needs

Graduates are ready to meet the unique academic and social needs of children with special learning needs.

Upon completion of this online special education degree students are eligible for a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing endorsement on a New Jersey Instructional License in their specific subject area.
