About Monroe Community College
Monroe Community College was established in 1961 under founding chairman, Samuel J. Stabins, M.D. That same year, MCC was established as a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) System. Carrying on the vision of the founders, MCC continues to provide a quality education at an affordable price. There is no application fee.
MCC’s academic programs prepare students for a degree at a four-year college, or to enter the workforce right away, offering associate’s degrees and certificates, many of which can be earned at least 50% online. Online learning is offered in a variety of modalities including web-enhanced, hybrid and fully online courses. Fully online courses are ideal for working students who need to balance education, work, and other responsibilities.
