Program Details

The online AA in Substance Abuse Counseling degree program from Mohave Community College prepares students to work with individuals, families, and groups recovering from substance use disorders or other damaging behavioral disorders such as gambling. Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education. Graduates are equipped to pursue employment in places such as:

  • Residential Treatment Centers

This degree program requires 62-66 credits for completion.

  • Students seeking in-state or Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition rates or any Arizona state-based financial aid must be prepared to submit proof of Citizenship and Arizona Residency
  • Placement test (may be waived based on ACT/SAT scores, high school GPA, or college transcript)
