The online Master of Arts in Communication balances theory and research with service-learning and internship opportunities to prepare students for a variety of professional settings. The faculty aim to deepen understanding of the communication process and develop skills in facilitating communication among other people, along with equipping students with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Graduates find positions in fields such as consulting, development, communications instructor, and public relations, or are prepared for doctoral study and teaching at the university level.
- A bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by agencies recognized by Missouri State University
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 OR at least a 2.75 GPA for the last 60 hours of academic course work OR at least a 2.75 GPA on a minimum of 9 hours of graduate credits OR have a combined score of 290 (875 under the old scoring system before August 1, 2011) on the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examination.
