Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Teaching program offers the opportunity to enhance undergraduate degrees or to further careers in the education industry.  The program is designed for certified teachers who are interested in adding an additional area of certification and is tailored for those who would like to complete initial certification in conjunction with a master’s degree.  Graduates find careers as educators, curriculum developers, and educational policy developers.  Required courses include Integration of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; Applications of Technology; Legal Issues in Regular and Special Education; Perspectives on Diversity in Education; and Methods of Inquiry I.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Overall GPA of 2.75 (4.0 scale)
  • Official Transcripts from all institutions attended
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Professional statement
  • Proof of teaching certification may be required
