Program Details

Spearhead initiatives in climate change solutions for governments, nonprofits, and businesses— earn the Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Sustainability online at Middlebury Institute of International Studies in as few as 20 months. Designed for the part-time learner, you’ll take one course at a time over seven weeks, completing two courses each semester.

The program is taught by experts in public administration and sustainability management. You’ll build expertise in the three pillars of sustainability—economic viability, environmental protection, and social equity—learning how you can maximize the performance and outcomes of a project or organization while stewarding human, financial, and environmental resources.

Throughout the program, you’ll immerse yourself in hands-on projects that build a portfolio of experience you can immediately apply to your work. It will demonstrate your skill level on local, national, and international issues, so you’re ready to hit the ground running when you earn your degree.
