Founded in the late 1800s, students first enrolled in a junior college in Cochran, Georgia. Today, Middle Georgia State University retains a mission to inspire lifelong learning through leadership and community involvement.
Students can enroll in online degree programs, ranging from associate’s to master’s degrees. Distance education studies at Middle Georgia State University include fields in information technology, nursing, criminal justice, finance, political science, public safety, and aviation. These online academic programs are housed within the Office of Innovation and Outreach.
