School Details

Metropolitan College of New York (MCNY) was founded in 1964 by Audrey Cohen, an innovative educator who believed in uniting the classroom and professional world. This belief holds true at MCNY today with an accelerated curriculum that integrates the classroom and the workplace. MCNY is located in lower Manhattan and the Bronx.

Programs at MCNY are built around the unique Purpose-Centered Education Model. This holistic approach to learning blends theory and real-world practice within the social justice lens. It is believed that students learn best when they understand the Purpose of their learning and see the connection between what they are learning and their ability to change their lives.

MCNY offers associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees on its 3 campuses. These degrees are designed to be particularly useful for nontraditional students pursuing degrees while working and raising families. A couple of the master’s degrees are offered 100% online. Work full time and attend school full time with MCNY online degrees.
